I will be seeing the gynecologist sometime in October regarding my pelvic pain and endometriosis. Hopefully she will suggest an MRI, and will probably also want to do a laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and colonoscopy. I'm so sick of doctors, but at least the kidney specialist I saw was very good, knew his stuff, and explained everything in great detail. I hope the Gynie is just as good. Now to find a GP who isn't shoddy.

I saw a kidney specialist today for my lumpy and swollen kidney. A good look at the IVP xrays showed that my left kidney is buggered - small, motheaten in the extreme, and not working very well at all. The right kidney is a little bigger to compensate, but is also starting to get moth-eaten. However, I basically have only one kidney between them. This could be due to a number of factors, and cannot be fixed, only monitored, and measures need to be taken to stop it getting worse. The next round of tests (this time I will glow) begins next week, for a baseline, in order to have something to compare to when monitoring the condition. This will happen regularly for the rest of my life.
